FIVE FOUNDATIONAL POINTS FOR SUCCESS

 At Crescent City Christian School, we believe that there are five foundations that must be transferred to the students from the staff through modeling, mentoring, teaching, and training. Each staff member will be not only qualified educationally and called of God but also trained in transferring the following:

1. A Christian world view – In essence, seeing every aspect of life from God’s perspective. Deut. 6:1-15

2. Complete Biblical integration – Seeing every aspect of the curriculum, from literature to science to algebra to yearbook staff, etc. as being directed by the Word of God. 2 Tim 3:14-16

3. Servant leadership – Choosing to consider others over ourselves. Luke 22:26, Phil. 2:1-8

4. Individual application – Each teacher must be able to recognize each student’s unique traits and adjust his/her teaching style accordingly. 1 Cor. 3:6-15

5. Five behavior guidelines – These Biblical principles govern every part of our lives. While they must be age appropriate, they never change because they are based in truth. We feel that if we can instill these principles into our children from birth, we can help them evade devastating problems in life. They are as follows:

1. Immediate obedience: Students should respond positively to any instruction given by those in authority. Eph. 6:5-7, Phil. 12:14-15

2. Honor for authority: Students are expected to give honor to all those in authority in both attitude and action. Rom. 13:1-2; Heb. 13:17

3. Absolute honesty: Students should never deceive, mislead, or fail to tell the truth. Rom. 13:13, Prov. 12:22

4. Christ-like behavior: In all attitudes and actions, students should live according to Biblical principles and values. Eph. 2:10, 5:1; 1 Peter 2:21

5. Complete dependability: Students should keep their word and accept the necessary responsibilities. Matt. 5:34-37, Num. 30:2
